Characteristics
The system includes the membrane and a cellulose pad that help support the membrane during filtration process, preventing them from being broken. Pad is also a support for liquid media after filtration.
It converts into a Petri dish which allows direct incubation.
System is sterilized by gamma radiation and disposable doing away with all previous sterilization steps in the traditional membrane filtration technique.
The sterile disposable filtration units reduce about 70% of the time required in the traditional method.
The option with an unwelded membrane allows, after incubation with the specific liquid media, the membrane to be removed. The analysis results are kept in the lab log book.
